I thought that I show you my last flower to bloom.  I can't wait until next spring, summer for my plants to start all over again.

Shopping Spree - Thanksgiving weekend

During Thanksgiving, me and my hubby went to our local Western Store and my Hubby, was out riding his horse trying a new saddle and I was being a busy little bee doing what I do best... SHOPPING...  When I was off on Maternity Leave, me and my Hubby, went to Texas and all I wanted as a Texas purse...  Well I finally found one... 3 years later I figure it time to get a new one.

It is just a little small kind of hand bag, but I love it...

I think around January, Roy decided that it would be good to redo my spare room with a Sharpie Marker, Not only did he do the wall, he did some of my Heritage stuff as well, my trunk from my grandparents, a bookcase that my father made for Roy and then some other office stuff as well as himself...

 So today, I went to town and got the paint that I picked for doing the room as it matched as quilt that I am working on that only needs me to do one more sew before I send it to the Lorna at Connecting Quilts.  Once this is done, this will be in the mail and off to get quilted...  With this being the finishing touch of my Spare Room I thought that it would be fitting to get this finally done so that I can have a complete room.  I am sending this to Lorna as I was a winner on a blog - but I don't have anyone here to quilt to the quilt so I might as well give her a try as the prices seem very reasonable, but the only thing is shipping...  But whatever, if I like her work well I guess she will have my business for some time to come.

Tomorrow Roy & I will be maybe tacking the rest of room as it is a different colour and more things need to be moved besides a trunk and futon.

Sad, Devastated Part IV

STAPLES ROCKS...  They retrieved everything off my external hard drive... It was a faulty hard drive no viruses...  I went back to COVE COMPUTERS and they were extremely rude and the own even yelled at me... I was not happy at all.  I have called the manufacturer of my EHD and I just have to send it back to them and they will give me a new one.  Cove laughed at me when I asked for it back and said Good luck and you are not going to get anything off of it.  I am going to be reporting them to the BBB of Canada today or tomorrow as I have never been treated that way in my lift when the owner comes and starts yelling at me...

I have all my file that was on the original EHD and put on a new one... But because I still have a virus on this Computer (Jon @ Staples) thinks I do so he has advised me not to use it until I get it checked or new computer.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ONE AND ALL

So, As you know I am having a huge computer problem since taking it to COVE COMPUTERS - As I have stated earlier that I have/HAD Norton Anti Virus on my computer...   Well I just noticed the the stupid people at COVE COMPUTERS have wiped it out and did not put it back on my computer...  So I have been running my computer with not Virus Ware!!!!  How crazy is that....  So I clicked on my little Norton and long and behold - IT EXPIRED - well I called as I pay for automatic update subscription yearly....  So I called Norton and they are putting it back on my computer, updating everything, and giving me an additional 1 month subscription - FREE

Well that made my Thanksgiving....

Lost & Found

 Today I was cleaning out my craft/spare room... I am hoping that I can keep it clean...  in the process of cleaning I found some long lost items.

Embroidery Pillowcases

The embroidery pillowcases are projects that I started when I was a wee little girl.  The sheep and one of the butterflies I still need to finish but the other butterfly is good to go... I don't even have the pattern of what colours I was using so this is going to be a challenge to finish.  So back to the back burn it goes again...


Tree Skirt

 The tree skirt was on of those projects that I made when I as off on Maternity Leave.  It is completed but I made mistakes as it not perfect at all but it is done and able to be used, I just have to get it quilted... I have the back and batting.  I love finding these kind of projects, that are done and need to be sent away for quilting.... But with having just a tight budget, this one I might try my hand at...

I have been cleaning the Spare Room and some what of the house...  I have sent out 5 bags of garage and 1 Expedition loaded to good will and I am not even done...  I really can't wait for my sister to come tomorrow for turkey and help me with the room as it needs and organizers touch now.  As I have done what I can.

Sad, Devastated - Part II

Yesterday,  I was in Town dropping off stuff to good will and then what I thought a quick stop at Staples...  My heart has gotten a little bit of hope in it...  I was really still not understanding how this could happen.... Anyways the gal at Staples was more then helpful, I gave her my EHD with some hope that things can be retrieved...  It is going to be yet another $80 but if I can get anything out of it I will be happy.

On my way home I called my CM Lady to find out what kind of EHD she has etc. to telling her that they could not retrieve anything etc.  She then told me that her friend had the same thing happen and she spent $2000.00 trying to get it fixed with no success...  So I am looking into a new PC, a few different EHD for different storage location.

I just thought that I would let you know what is happening with my little situation.

Sad, Devastated, Utterly in MORNING

My story of a lose - of all my pictures

back in July-My computer was being REALLY slow so I though that I would take it in to get some more Gig and an external hard drive - Well when I dropped it off they informed me that I have been hit with a virus and that is why my PC was working so slow... So not being a computer person, I trusted them with my computer...They moved everything on my computer to this external hard drive....So I picked it up - and had to bring it back 3 times as things were not right.  I finally have a computer - brand new clean slate...  Everything that I have and hold dear to is on my external hard drive... Well I moved my CM stuff pack on to my PC and only 2010 - PICTURES so that I can work on my current projects.

A while ago my girlfriend had somewhat of the same issue with her PC and just about lost all of her photos - are boys are 2 weeks apart so I really felt for her and what she was going through as an Photographer/Scrapbooker and Memory Keeper of all sorts.  So her advise to me was save everything on disc etc... Did I take this advise.... NO!! I just thought that I was untouchable as I had NORTON!!! I am not sure if she did as I never asked but I am sure she did...

Back in August I was over at a friends house helping her with re Wedding Invitations and Save The Date etc.  I had my External Hard Drive and everything went off with out a hitch...  On Sunday I went to use my EHD as I had to do books and other things for the farm for it to ask if I wanted it to be formatted... Has anyone heard of this?  I know I have never.  I did not deal with it as I really thought it was a quick fix and then it will be done, as I have a lot of things on my plate and I really did not need anything off the EHD right away.  My hubby, then informed me earlier this week that he is going to be bring the cows home, which means to me I need all my calving records and such so that we have everything done and printed (Age Verification - Calf Birth Certificate) that is the only way you can sell your calves her in Alberta well - get a better price etc.  So yesterday I had DR appointment and on the way home I just dropped of my EHD at the place where I got it from as they are the only one in Airdrie that Guarantee their work....

After doing some work, then I started cleaning my office/spare room - I got the call from COVE COMPUTERS - the guy then told me that I had a virus on my EHD and there is nothing he could and everything is gone.  I was shocked as that is why I got this EHD...  So I sat here in totally shock wondering what am I going to do as I needed my Hubby's invoices and the calving stuff...  So I will be re-creating my Hubby's invoices and my Mother-in-Law has the 2010 calving records so I don't have to spend 2 days redoing that.  Easy fixes not to much, as I transferred all my CM stuff back on to my PC remember...  COVE COMPUTERS - DOES NOT IN FACT GUARANTEE THEIR WORK  - well maybe a little they did not charge me yet again to look into this - I AM NEVER AGAIN GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE AND I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE IN THE AIRDRIE AREA THAT YOU DO NOT EITHER.  I have a few calls out to my friends to see how they use and it is coming up with AIRDRIE COMPUTERS-seems to be the answer.

Then at supper it HIT me like a block of brick - I only have 2010 photos....  I have lost all my photos.... All of Roy's baby photos, 2007, 2008, 2009 - stomach turning ready to get sick...What am I going to do....

Then I got thinking....I am a digital scrapbooker...I have scrapbooked all my photos, so I don't have hard copies but I do have my albums...Roy's first year I did Traditional and I also did a different one Digital so that is complete and I have all the other ones digital all too, I just have to order them.  My heart can feel a little better....

So if you are like me and have your pictures in ONE location.... You should have them in another.... I have an online account at Creative Memories where I order my photos from and my albums here is the link to this so that you can create your own account so hopefully this will never happen to you too.  This like is only for Canada and the US  I am not sure for international, if you are international would like to know more about this send me a comment and I will look into this further for you.

What CRAZY week

I feel as though I have forgotten all bout my BLOG... Have you missed me....I sure have missed you.  Well my week has been one that I would really like to forget and put it away and never come back.  I have gone shopping and picked up more CRAFT books as Christmas is coming and I really can't wait to start the Christmas season and buy/making the gifts.  I have 2 gifts down that Roy has gotten for people - so only a few more...  I am thinking this year that I am going to have a spa day again at my house.  I have not done this is such a long time, that I think it is time to do it again.  Interested in doing one with your girls here is how

• Pick the location - I do it at my place more personal
• Make a guess list - if you are doing this at home you will have to select - yes some people will be left out but you know your home can only fit some many
• With each guess - they have to bring something to help with the day - so the money burden is not solely on you
• Pick the events that you want at your spa day IE - pedicures, manicures, facials think low key - you don't want to be stressed
• You will have to make up little cards for each station to let your guests know what is to happen
• Send out invitations to this - when doing this also ask them to be ring the following item IE nail polish, and files, next person or few Big Bowls to soak feet - this is a good one for those CAMPERS as they usually have something, ALL Ladies need to bring their own towels, face cloths etc.
• Don't forget to ask a guess to bring Tea, fruit patter, - you know the little munchies, as we are women and we do like to munch.
• Setting the rooms where each treatment will be held - this is a group fun, you have one room for pedicures with 5 girls, one room for manicures 5 girls, etc.  How ever many you invite divide the number between the events and that is how many girls per treatment
• Make little gift bags for your guest
• Setting the feel, decorate your location like a spa, but some of the relaxing music on, make sure that there are no interruptions.... Hubby, kids etc, this is a day for you and your girls.
• finally enjoy the day, have fun and make sure you laugh - remember STRESS FREE

well writing this has made me feel so much better and I can't wait to plan this...

A. I usually do, but I am not sure this year.  My son is going as Woody from Toy Story, I might see if I can find the Jane from Toy Story but if not I guess.  I love Halloween and now with having a little one, it makes it so much more.  We live in the country and get around 10 kids, I don't get to see their costumes as I am out with my son - and the only way I see them is if I run into them on the route.  Nothing more then being able to be a child again!

What I am doing this Weekend

The weekend is finally here... I cannot believe another week has gone by.  This weekend is going to be extra special for me... I am going to CROPTOBER FEST this is hosted by my Scrapbook Consultant from Creative Memories.  What this is a full day - 12 hours - of doing nothing but scrapbooking.  This includes digital or traditional or both whatever it is that you like to do.  On top of that free chances to win new free product and such...  I am so excited that I really can't wait to get there and start scrapbooking.  I was looking through my son's traditional album, which I thought that I was done...  Well I am missing a bunch of journaling and embellishments, so I will be working on that for awhile... Then there is my wedding album that I have done nothing with and it will be 5 year married this December... Man I can't believe that I have been married for 5 years and have the most amazing Son ever.  If you have not noticed I have created a Scrapbooking Tab on this page.  If you click on that it will take you to my Scrapbook page.  This is where you will be able to see some of my scrapbooks that I have created this year.  I love the digital world of scrapbooking.  After tomorrow when I speak with my Scrapbook Consultant I will see if it will be alright to had her web page to my blog and then you can order directly from her all the scrapbooking tools out there.
