I am thankful that I am still here on earth to enjoy another fall season. Why? Because I am have been living with an incurable form of leukemia for the last 7 1/2 years and didn't feel well most of the summer. Family and my health are at the top of my list!!
My favorite part of fall is the crisp air and the beautiful colors that God blesses us with as the leaves change.
I read blogs basically for quilting. I love seeing other people's quilts and learn about what's out there for us to help make our quilting process better.
I am not going to be dressing up for Halloween. At my age, my joy comes in answering the door and passing out the treats to the little ones. Some are so happy and anxious to get their treats, while others are so shy they might not even want to put out their bag to get their treat lol.

I am most thankful for my daughter coming home safe this summer to West Virginia and then to New York. (We live in Chicago) So this was a big trip for her.
She is 18, left with 3 good friends for a 2 week camping trip. Met a guy during this trip and traveled from New York to California, with many stops in between. She was gone 8 weeks, and traveled with strangers from one car to another! There were times when we lost contact for days!
It all ended well, and now she and the new boyfriend are living together back in Chicago. At least I can see her now and know she is safe.

I am thankful for the man I married! Life is so sweet lately. We are empty nesters after 30 yrs of raising kids and are truely enjoying it together.
We don't celebrate Halloween so no dressups at that time of year. We sometimes will have a costume party at other times of the year. I do love the season and decorating for it though.

I have trouble deciding whether I like the colors of fall better or the smells... leaves, pumpkin and apple creations, crisp air. It's really a toss-up between the two.
I read blogs to feel connected to other crafters - to see what they make and enjoy the creation process. I don't have much crafting time yet, so live vicariously through them!
It's my year to answer the door, but I haven't figured out a costume yet! Hopefully I'll come up with something soon!

I am Thankful for my health. And my amazing husband. And my family. And of course, the Fall into Fall Giveaway! And the chance to win your awesome prize, thank you!
I will be dressing up this year, I just don't know what as. I have a ton of costumes. Maybe a pirate. Or a space cowgirl (again).
My favorite thing about Fall is cooking! Finally, after a super hot summer I can heat up the house with homemade bread and cookies and meatloaf and chicken pot pie!
I love to read quilting blogs. I love to read about other quilter's successes and failures and how they go about being creative and crafty. I love the inspiration and all the wonderful ideas!

I am always thankful for my friends and family and now the fall weather.
In the blogs, I like to see what people are working on or finished. i also enjoy the pictures of their families and pets and an occasional recipe.
I won't be dressing up this year for halloween. The last time I got in a costume was with the girl scouts and my troup was all from cinderella. I was the prince.

I am thankful for living in a free country, in a part of it where the seasons change, for my health, family, faith, parents, and all of the good blessings I've received. And I'm thankful for making it through the bad times.
My favorite part of fall is the cooler weather that makes me want to be out and about to enjoy it.
when I see what other bloggers are up to in crafts, I am prompted to do my own things in crafts. I suppose that means I rely on the community aspect of blogs.

My favourite fall memory is four kids gathered around the kitchen table, pumpkin guts all over their bellies as they giggle and scoop and design their jack-o-lanterns!

I love that Halloween is the night I can pull out my saddle shoes (what a garage sale treasure find that was!!!) and poodle skirt and dress up! I look forwarding to dressing up again this year!

I am thankful for cooler weather, the changing leaves and most of all my wonderful family.
I am thankful for my wonderful hubby, baby to be, and mother that is still with me, beating the cancer odds to see her new grandbaby.

I won't be dressing up at Halloween, however I have a bunko group that I'll be dressing up for and haven't decided yet what I'll do. I'm wondering though, if I go with threads all over my clothes, will others get it??

I'm a follower.
I'm thankful for every day. I've lost both my sister and my mother in the past two years. Going through this has made me appreciate each day more.
My favorite part of fall is going to our cabin in the mountains and sitting on the porch in the cool crisp weather.
I read blogs for inspiration, to see what others are up to, to be part of a community outside of my local area. I enjoy the variety in blogs- pictures, tutorials, etc.
As far as #5- I'm not dressing up for Halloween. Sorry.

I'm thankful for the family I belong to - my immediate family and extended family are so loving and warm and such good people - I think the world of them.
I read blogs because I love to see what other quilters get up to - how they use fabric and colour. Quilt bloggers are so creative and they all seem to have a great sense of humour and personality that comes through in their writing and posting.
My favourite part of fall (autumn in Australia) is the cooler weather and the way the colour of the world changes through the season.

Favorite thing about fall is watching trees change from bright green to yellow to deep red. Lovely shades, and it happens so quickly!

I'll be dressing as a prop. Yes, a prop. Like a zombie one, and hang still from the tree in front of my house. Then when people touch me or look at me, I'll scare the living daylights out of them. :)
